MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Preliminary submission
Abstract
Include an abstract in the manuscript. It should be a self-contained, citation-free section not exceeding 200 words.
Introduction
This section should be brief, with a clear overview of the manuscript's content, without any subheadings.
Literature Review
Provide a concise, critical overview of relevant prior work. Highlight gaps in the literature and position the current study within the broader research context. Avoid excessive detail; focus on relevance and synthesis rather than a list of studies.
Materials and Methods
Detail the procedures in this section to ensure repeatability. It may be divided into subsections to describe various methods.
Results and Discussion
Divide this section with subheadings as needed or combine them into a single section. It should clearly present the findings and interpret their significance.
Conclusions
Summarize the main conclusions, emphasizing the work's importance and relevance.
Acknowledgements
Include any acknowledgements at the end of the manuscript, before the references. This may cover grants, presentations, and other contributions.
References
Authors must ensure the accuracy of references included in the manuscript. References are essential, and the manuscript will be returned if missing. The Journal of Philology and Educational Sciences adheres to the APA style for referencing and citation.
Authors' Details
During the article submission process, details of all authors, including their emails, affiliations, ORCID numbers, and other relevant information, should be registered. The corresponding author should provide biographies for all authors during registration. Refer to previous publications for examples.
Preparation of Figures
When submitting an article, authors must include all figures and tables within the manuscript file. Figures should be provided in bitmap formats (TIF, GIF, JPEG, eps, etc.), with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, unless a lower resolution is justified for scientific reasons. If a figure includes labels, ensure that the image and labels are on separate layers to facilitate adjustments.
Preparation of Tables
Tables must be sequentially cited within the text. Each table should have a clear, descriptive title. If tables contain numerical measurements, their units must be specified in the column headings. Avoid using vertical lines in tables.
English Grammar
To streamline the review process, authors are encouraged to use grammar-checking software, such as Grammarly, or seek assistance from a native English speaker to proofread the manuscript before its submission.
Original Contribution
The manuscript should explicitly outline the novelty and originality of the scientific contribution.
Effective Writing
Readable writing is clear, precise, and succinct, facilitating easy understanding for readers. When drafting a paper, aim to convey your ideas straightforwardly so your audience grasps them quickly and without ambiguity. Avoid unnecessarily complex, complicated, or overly formal language under the guise of appearing more scientific or to impress readers. A good benchmark is being able to explain your work to a friend clearly. For more insights into effective scientific writing, visit nature.com.
Plagiarism Detection
We utilize Turnitin software to identify instances of plagiarism. Plagiarism, as defined by the Oxford online dictionary, involves presenting someone else's work or ideas as if they were your own. For detailed information on plagiarism, its types, and definitions, please refer to the Journal of Philology and Educational Sciences Referencing System. The Editorial Board will assess cases of plagiarism based on their individual merits. Detection of plagiarism—at any point before publication, whether before or after acceptance, during editing, or in page proofs—will prompt us to notify the author(s) for necessary action, such as rephrasing the content or properly citing the source. Should plagiarism comprise at least 20% of the submission, the manuscript may be rejected.
